OPPORTUNITY OUT OF ADVERSITY!
It was a difficult time for Dr Sonia Ali when her practices’ basement flooded, putting inches of sewage water through two surgeries, decon and the CBCT room. What followed was an extensive refurbishment project which involved her proving damage to a loss adjuster, obtaining insurance coverage, as well as tanking the walls of the basement to prevent future flooding. A huge amount of work was needed, which Sonia had had little preparation for. Having reliable suppliers she could trust and work with as a team were essential through this challenging time.
The silver lining was quickly found as Sonia was able to refurbish her practice to a high standard. Three surgeries were refurbished, as well as the waiting and communal areas.
WORKING TO A TIGHT PROGRAM
There was a need to get the new surgeries functional as quickly as possible. Every day lost, was revenue lost!
We worked closely with Dr Ali and the various trades to program the works, secure quick deliveries from suppliers and prioritise the installations. The surgeries were installed on schedule which helped minimise the impact of the flood to Dr Ali and her dental practice.
QUALITY, RELIABILITY, AND PATIENT COMFORT
Sonia had previously worked with Belmont dental chairs and following a visit to the showroom, quickly decided to opt for the flagship Belmont Cleo II kneebreak package for two of the surgeries. Both were fitted with luxury upholstery for the ultimate patient comfort.
In the third surgery, a new Belmont Voyager III was installed, complete with replacement Belmont 097 x-rays. Durr VSA300S suction motors were chosen and their locations moved to the decon room, to minimise the noise disruption within the surgeries.
