DESIGN & PLANNING
Dr Smita Mehra approached us with the expansion project of an existing successful practice.
The brief was to expand into an office space, on the first floor, to fit 4 additional surgeries, plus a decontamination room.
The building is grade II listed and being the age it is, was a challenge to design, with uneven floors and little drainage.
We used our experience and worked with Dr Mehra to come up with a unique solution to this by raising the floor in the main surgery.
Cabinetry, surgery and equipment designs were meticulously put together and reviewed with our design team and Smita, over the course of several face-to-face and remote meetings!
BUILDING WORKS
We worked closely with the clients own builder to facilitate the works, involving site meetings and technical service planning to ensure all services were run in correctly.
It wasn’t without its challenges but good teamwork prevailed!
It also needed a delicate changeover of a compressor at short notice, so this was arranged without causing downtime to the practice.
The project was extensive and included a full revamp of the reception and waiting areas and a new decontamination room!
EQUIPMENT & CABINETRY
Two of the four new surgeries were fitted out initially, with the remaining two ready to be equipped in future.
High quality equipment and cabinetry was installed throughout.
A Cattani AC300 compressor and Durr VSA300S suction pumps were chosen for their reliability.
The cabinetry is best in class with premium quality, solid surface worktops, and bowed steel handles.
Quality equipment, with manufacturer trained installations, coupled with regular ongoing maintenance will ensure the surgeries will last for the next 20 years!
