PRIME DENTAL – HAMPSTEAD

LAYOUT DESIGN

Having looked after the servicing and equipment needs for this practice for many years we were obviously keen to be involved in their major relocation project. We were involved in the very early stages which meant that we could advise on best size and shape required for an ultimate modern dental practice. Even still we had to prove ourselves against interested competition that a project of this calibre attracts.

The conceptual spatial planning sketch (a vision of our senior designer) proved that we could introduce a dual corridor practice with patients and staff routes being kept totally separate. The result is truly astounding, meaning that their patients can really enjoy a visit to the dentist without being disturbed by all the typical hustle and bustle associated with some traditional dental practices.

SURGERY DESIGN

To ensure that this practice functions correctly we have utilised dual access cabinets which open onto both to the surgeries and the sterilisation corridor. The integral sluice sinks formed completely out of Corian is another stunning feature which has to seen to be truly appreciated. A gold standard dual HTM 01-05 compliant Decontamination room was installed with a pass through hatch system.

The surgeries were carefully and individually designed for each particular dentist or speciality, whether this was for left handed use, surgical work, hygiene etc. This involved using a combination of side arm, over-the-patient and ambidextrous delivery systems.

PLANT EQUIPMENT

The auxiliary plant area was given the correct attention which meant we were able to prove our excellent engineering pedigree within a complex building with consideration for all technical details, including; back up systems, ventilation, materials and sound attenuation, items which are perhaps not always given the attention they deserve but make the difference between an ordinary new practice, and the very best.
